MICAP, LLC is not a law firm and does not offer or provide any legal advice. As a single managed company, MICAP, LLC has been in business since March 2003.

Michael J. Barnes is the Chief Executive Manager of MICAP, LLC. Michael is a non-lawyer. He is certified, fully trained or qualified to conduct mediation and arbitration under Federal or State rules and regulations. He is a Certified Federal Employment Mediator. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family, Circuit Civil, Dependency and Appellate Mediator. Michael is not certified to mediate in any other State; however, all involved parties may self-determine to still select him to mediate the dispute.

As a non-lawyer, Michael is trained and qualified to serve on Arbitration panels to handle commercial and financial industry disputes. To address those human resources issues, he is certified to investigate Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints. He is a highly skilled consultant on tailored human resources and political sensitive matters.

Michael is a retired military officer who served at the base, major command, and Pentagon levels within the Department of Defense (DoD) and joint operations in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). This military veteran is an Advanced Practitioner Member in the Association of Conflict Resolution.

As a part-time Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioner, Michael is available to provide mediation and arbitration services on case-by-case basis by Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) and eMediation only; specifically, telephone and video teleconferencing only. As a neutral and impartial third party, Michael Barnes has a natural gift to ethically serve others in helping to resolve challenges.
